Welcome to our new Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Dog Blog.

As you can read in this blog's description, the blog is to discuss the cute or unusual things about our adorable pets.

This is Holly. She is about 8 years old.

Her biggest quirk is being mesmerized by reflections, sparkles, laser lights, or anything bright, small, shiny and moving. It could be on the wall, floor, ceiling or your shoe. Once she sees these refelctions, she will attack it and attack it until she 'gets' it.

If it disappears, she will will just lay there and wait til it comes again.

We have had Holly for about 9 years. Lately she has been having some health problems but we hope she can overcome them so we can have her for another 9 years.

Yorkies are nice too.

Holly reminds me of our own CKCS, Winston (he's 5 this year). My mom lets Winston sit in the passenger seat, too, when she drives and Winston also amuses himself by catching sun rays reflected off watches and rings :)

Love reading all about CKCSs......we're just crazy about Winston and his breed.....

Yes Winston sounds like Holly. Holly likes to catch the sun reflections also. She knows when I sit at the computer that the sun comes in the window and reflects off my watch. She just sits patiently and watches for the reflections.

They certainly are good pets.

Kiley is my Cavalier. Her quirks are too numerous to name but I'll try. She loves to pull paper out of trash cans to shread, to lick the dishes in the dish washer and to chew water bottles. She hates to ride in the car and leave the dog park.

I notice that this is an old thread but will post anyway!

I have a ckcs named Loki, he is our best friend. He is 2 1/2 years old and spoilt! Loki loves going for rides in the car and he goes on camping holidays with us, he especially loves to go in the canoe. He has a wierd habit of licking...especially the floor or people's feet !! Yuck!!
